I very rarely write negative reviews for any business, but after multiple frustrating experiences I feel like other people should be aware. I have taken my car here multiple times for state inspection, every time I have shown up right after opening and have had to wait multiple hours for my vehicle to be ready. At my most recent visit my partner took my vehicle in, he arrived at 7:30am and was the second inspection in line, as he didn’t have a ride to go anywhere else he informed them that he would wait for the vehicle. At 11:30am (4 hours later!!!) he was told that the vehicle failed inspection. They quoted $750 to adjust a parking brake, replace a single tail light, and replace the horn on the vehicle which they claimed was not loud enough. He declined these repairs and I had them done at the shop I trust but is further away. My total for these repairs including parts was $100……. Additionally, they informed my partner that to have it reinspected if the repairs were done elsewhere would be another $20, which I have since been informed is against VA law. This shop used to be reasonable and I don’t know if they recently got new management but their practices are unethical at best, and possibly illegal. Do not go here.

I took my car here on a whim last year for a safety inspection and had a great experience. There was a bit of a wait, so I sat in their waiting area and quietly worked on my laptop while I was waiting. They were all very friendly and answered all the questions I had. A couple of months ago I called them for a quote on new brakes and they were very quick in responding with a quote emailed to me that was over $100 cheaper than the first quote I got, although when I asked about if I could wait with my car and work in their waiting area they suggested I go sit at the restaurant next door which was pretty unwelcoming. I ended up deciding to wait on the brakes for a bit, but was planning to take it to them to get front and rear brakes completely replaced. $1200 worth of work. This past week, I called on Monday to inquire about bringing my car in for a leak. I won’t name any names but the person I spoke to was not friendly and was condescending when answering my questions which should have been my first indication to look elsewhere. He told me they couldn’t look at it until Wednesday and I let him know I could come on Thursday. I rearranged my schedule and brought it in Thursday morning. They said it would be a little while and I said no problem. I took an Uber home since I didn’t feel welcome to stay with my car to work in their waiting area. They kept my car all day and it just sat there. I called back midday and they said we’re putting another car back together and then we should have a bay open to look at your car soon. I waited until end of day and called back and was essentially told we’ll get to it when we can and we don’t know when that’ll be. I asked if they could give me any idea of if they’ll be able to look at it first thing in the morning or is it going to sit there all day? Are you guys too busy to look at it and should I come back and get it and take it somewhere else? The person I spoke to was also condescending and told me they have several different mechanics of varying degrees of knowledge and that even if there was someone available doesn’t mean they know how to fix my car and that if I wasn’t comfortable with the timeframe then I could come get my car. So that’s exactly what I did. The condescending tone I got from each person I spoke to gave me the impression that they don’t need, want or care about my business. Really disappointing after wasting money on 2 Ubers and letting my car sit there for an entire day when they could have easily just said we’re too busy to look at it today or tomorrow and let me be on my way. It seems like they don’t like dealing with the public. I was very nice and polite each time I called and there was no reason for them to be so condescending. Also so disappointing to have such a bad experience when my first experience was so good. I just moved to Leesburg and thought I had found a friendly mechanic I could trust. Especially under the AAA name.

I’ve taken multiple cars here for more than a decade. Today I was out of town and my wife was headed to the airport with my daughter and a nail in her deflating tire. I called ahead to let them know she had an afternoon flight and would need a quick turn around. Art took the call and assured me they’d take care of it and they did. She’s at BWI safely and I appreciate the support the team at AAA provided in a moment of need.

I’m not normally one to leave bad reviews on ANY business, but this was just absolutely ridiculous. A while back my car died on the road, and I got it towed to this AAA location in Leesburg. Turned out to be a battery issue which they fixed. Well I take it to service at my dealership today and the mechanic sent me a video showing the battery spacers were placed OVER TOP of the battery.. giving this 3 stars because I am hoping that they will see this and attempt to make it right.
