The experience was exceptional from the moment I walked in the door and met Dean my sales person. We chated about cars and touched a little bit on personal details. This car was replacing my daughter reliable but aged VW Passat. This was actually a "standby" as my daughter wanted another Passat. I came back the next day with my daughter and she test drove the car. She expressed that it felt like "her car". We had plans to go look at other vehicles. Dean asked "what can I do to make you not go look at the other car? After a little back and forth we came to an agreement on the value of my trade and price of the new car. The interactions we had, and my interaction with everyone at the dealership has left me with a very good impression. I would absolutly come back to buy another car from Dean again... he hopefully will help me find my next car. Dean knows what I'm looking for in my next car. This is my first experience with BMW and it was a very good one. Marcus was my sales person and I came in with the X5 in mind and he showed me the X3 and X5. I appreciate that he showed me both and he was able to find a car that fit my needs. I felt heard and respected in the entire process. Him and Josh were flexible in the negotiating process and got me to a price/payment I felt comfortable with. I would recommend BMW of South Albany!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at BMW of South Albany, and I believe this all stems from the incompetency of the General Sales Manager, Rich. When I purchased my BMW X7, Rich made several promises that were not fulfilled. He assured me the car would be fully detailed and that the brakes would be replaced before delivery—neither of which happened. Additionally, the entire registration process was mishandled. I was told I had to be physically present at the DMV and that I needed to go to a location closer to the dealership. This led me to drive over an hour and wait over two hours at the registry, only to learn that the vehicle could have been registered without my presence at all. It was frustrating, misleading, and unnecessary. Overall, the lack of professionalism, communication, and follow-through from the General Manager, Rich, was unacceptable. I expected much better service from a BMW dealership. I will make sure BMW is notified about this process and how poorly it was handled. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.
