Yesterday I went to Colby’s Tires to get my brakes and tires changed, and the service was absolutely amazing. The prices were really good, and what stood out the most was how the team took the time to explain everything that was going on with my car. I never felt like they were trying to upsell me or take advantage — they genuinely recommended what was best based on my needs. It was super duper great! I’ve been looking for a reliable mechanic around Salt Lake, and I think I finally found the place. Highly recommend!

Make sure you triple check the price. Called in to mount and balance 4 tires and was told $90. After they finished, less than an hour which is why 2 stars for being quick, but they charged me $140. Could’ve gone to any large chains like Big O or Discount Tire for $35 per tire. I even asked the guy when I came in and he said ok. Shady when it comes to pricing. They said I called the wrong number off their website with two locations. I planned on buying used winter tires from them but not going back.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Colby’s/Victor’s Tire’s on 900 W in Poplar Grove just shy of 2yrs now, and I am always pleased when I see Jaime. His customer service is exceptional!! Jaime s very knowledgeable when it comes to tires. He can tell you how your car drives and rides just by looking at how the tread wears on your tires. Ive needed and bought new tires and Ive bought a random ole’ tire as a “get by” fix for an old car that was on its last leg. All the way down to regular tire rotations. Every time, no matter how big or small the need, Jaime has greeted me with a smile, is kind, and the best part, he remembers my face and that I am a regular returning patron.

This is now a Victors tires and Jaime hooked me up with a new tire for a great price on my classsic 2001 dodge caravan after his technician politely assured my my old one had been patched and barely any rubber remaining. Great guys great service.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The guy wanted $280 not including taxes to mount and balance tires I brought to him. And its now called Victors Tires. 🚩 I drove down the street to another Victors Tires and got it mounted and balanced for $165 for all 4 tires. 🤷🏻♂️

When Victor started, over 20 years ago, there wasn’t this type of work for Hispanics. Americans did almost all tire shops, mechanics, and car sales. Victor’s Tires grew by serving the Hispanic population of Utah, and the thing that made it work was the attention to detail, care of every customer, and giving the best price for the best work.
Victor came to the US because of his joy in traveling and discovering new things. Victor has always set daily goals and worked to achieve them.
Victor’s Tires started because Victor was trying to take care of people. He didn’t see it as a business at first, just a way to help others. A lot of people were asking him for favors and had questions about tires. He started only by separating bad tires from the good used ones.
Eventually, people started asking for specific tire sizes and asking if they could buy them. At first, he would find good used tires and give them away. Helping others find tires started with just one or two requests a week. When he started getting asked for tires 5-6 times a week, he realized that this could be a business.
