I had my oil changed at this place using a Groupon coupon. After reading other customers' comments, I was already concerned about the oil quality, and unfortunately, when the job was done, the oil appeared dark. I brought this up to the manager, who tried to explain that dark oil is normal and comes from the engine, but it seemed unusual to me. I tipped $10 at a nearby Goodyear shop for their advice, and the mechanic there explained that they may not have drained all the old oil properly. After reviewing the footage from my dash cam, I noticed the whole process only took 9-10 minutes, even though I was told to wait 45 minutes. The next day, I discovered oil leaking on the floor of my garage, which led me to call them for a redo. I’ll be providing two pictures: one showing the dark oil that leaked on my garage floor, and the other showing the clean, fresh oil after they redid the job. This confirmed the job hadn’t been done properly the first time. Initially, I planned to leave a 1-star review, but since they agreed to fix the issue, I won’t. However, I was disappointed by the manager’s response afterward. Instead of taking responsibility and addressing my concerns seriously, he asked me not to return, which was incredibly frustrating given that I had already spent extra time, money, and energy on this. To the manager: I understand that dark oil might still work for a while, but it can damage the engine in the long run. Just like people avoid foods with health risks, I’m cautious with my car. Please take customer concerns more seriously next time.

I am so glad I found this place. I don’t like going to the large dealerships to get maintenance on my car so I called Hometown auto and had a great experience. They were very respectful. The job was done quickly and it was nowhere near the price I had been paying at other places. In addition I had, experienced driving through floodwater about two months ago and called them to find out if my car should be seen for possible damage. They were again so helpful, understanding and offered for me to come by the next day so they could check my car out. I highly recommend Hometown Auto! I will be back. P.S. I referred them to my daughter and she loved this place too! (Make that now 2 daughters)
