Austin Automotive Specialist Review š«š š¤¦āāļø Couldnāt fix a basic flat tireā¦ like an ice cream shop saying, āSorry, no ice cream.ā š« Told us they had NO AIR to even put a puff in the tire to get us down the street. Whatās next, a mechanic saying, āWeāre out of wrenchesā? š§ Any real shop has an air compressor ā unless youāre just pretending to be mechanics. š Clearly just lazy and ready to clock out early instead of helping a paying customer. š¤” As we were pulling away, the second guy stuttered, āuhh the hose wonāt reach out thereā ā¦ Umm hello? We couldāve pulled up and you wouldāve been tipped. Idiots. š© The only thing they specialize in is being stupid, unhelpful, and a total waste of time. ā 0/5 ā I wouldnāt trust them to pump air into a balloon. š

Angel and his team repaired my mother in laws Nissan Frontier that was damaged when she accidentally hit her garage . It happened during the Christmas holidays and soon after New Years the job was complete. Fast forward to later in the year when I hit a deer on the way to work in my 2008 Toyota Tundra which also damaged the transmission cooler. Once again Angel and his team repaired the truck to better than original condition. Automotive Services of Austin is my go to when it comes to an honest and straightforward shop with many years of experience. Angel also has a towing service as well that comes in handy.

Scammed, Disrespected, and Insulted ā Never Going Back!!!!!! I recently visited an automotive shop where I was quoted $1,600 to replace the battery and alternator ā an outrageous price that turned out to be a blatant attempt to scam me. I went to another shop and got the exact same job done for $600, with a high-quality battery and alternator that came with a 4-year warranty. That alone proves how dishonest the first shop was. When we questioned the cost at the front desk, the woman responded with a condescending attitude, insisting we pay $319 just for a diagnosis, even though we were already being pressured into an overpriced repair. What happened next was incredibly insulting ā she started sweeping the floor while we were still standing there, clearly a passive-aggressive way of trying to belittle or shoo us out. To top it all off, someone had the nerve to tell us to āgo back to where you came from.ā This was not just bad customer service ā it was disrespectful, degrading, and completely unprofessional. Iām appalled by the lack of basic human decency, especially in the way my wife was treated. No one deserves to be talked down to or treated like this for simply asking questions about a price. I will never return to this place, and Iāll make sure others know how they treat people.

They really took care of my car! Had to get a new battery and a bunch of corrosion cleaned off. All set, then about a month later I saw a little build up BUT, Everyone was so nice when I came back- got special parts to prevent any more corrosion and taken care of free of charge. Talk about great follow through on services! Thank you!

This place is a complete SCAM and a nightmare to deal with!!!! After having our car towed there, they kept it for the entire afternoon without updates, then called us right before closing to say the problem was the alternator and batteryāand quoted over $1,500, which is ridiculous. When I suggested trying to jump-start it first, they brushed it off and didnāt seem interested in any reasonable solution. When we went back in person, they suddenly claimed they had already removed and reinstalled the alternatorāwithout our approvalāand demanded $319 just for that, even though no repair was completed. And I only signed a $120-$190 diagnosis fee which I agreed to pay. They told us we had to pay or they wouldnāt release our car. At first, they said cash or card would work, but when we returned the next morning, they changed their story and demanded cash only, refusing any other form of payment. The rude lady there pushed us out of their office, said she doesnāt want to talk to us anymore about this matter and started sweeping the floor on us. Throughout the entire process, they treated us rudely and disrespectfully. It felt like they deliberately trapped us into paying after unauthorized work and then manipulated the payment method to avoid accountability. These people are dishonest, unethical, and absolutely unprofessional. In my honest opinion, they are running a scam operation. Avoid this place at all costs. Donāt take your car to this place under any situation!!! Iāve already reported them to the Texas Attorney Generalās Consumer Protection Division, and I recommend anyone else who has had a bad experience do the same.
