Grateful for Mac’s! Got home from a play after 11p on a Wednesday, heard air hissing out of the tire when I got out of the car. Went inside to change clothes, came back out and headed to Mac’s because otherwise we’d have a fully flat tire when it was time to get folks to school in the morning. Screw was sitting right in the tire, picked up from whatever construction heavy streets we drive on each day. The techs moved through the line as quickly as possible, and our tire was plugged and paid for in around 15 minutes once it was our turn. Even though it was the middle of the night, everyone was in good spirits, cheerful, polite. Grateful for this DC institution!

Excellent, exceptional, efficient, great effervescent staff, very enthusiastic, helpful, and energetic. Greatly enjoyed my experience. The prices were very fair and reasonable. The staff didn’t try to oversell and saved me money when I was looking to spend more. Great company, great associates, and a great, pleasurable shopping experience.

I've been coming here for years....back in the day before the gentrification.....the fancy neighborhood names of NOMA, SoFLo, Union Market, etc...when it was just known as "OLD CITY" and straight-up "HOOD!" Mac's Tire Service is beyond exceptional and a unique small business that is still standing in the midst of so much change in this neighborhood. These folks are service oriented and get the job done fast.... with little to no waiting time or hassle. The most wait that you would probably experience is more than likely due to the line of cars waiting to be serviced. But once you're inside, you're taken care of in no time at all. If one is looking for quick, efficient and competent service for all your tire needs....tire plugs, wheel/rim issues, in need of new or replacement tires.....this is the place to go! They have new and used tires to bail you out when in need of damage to your tire from these rough DC streets, curves and land mines of potholes everywhere in the city! I came here after getting a screw in my fairly new tire that I just brought from Costco. After receiving a low pressure signal from my car, I had a matter of minutes before my new tire was about to be damaged from riding on a flat. Thanks to Max tire being open 24/7, I was able to get my tire repaired and saved me a huge amount of dollars by not ruining my tire or having the need to buy a new one. Let's face it folks, tires are not cheap for sports cars or any car for that matter in today's economy. One tire could be some folks car note.... If you catch my drift….at least mine are. lol. Nevertheless, these folks saved me and got me out of a serious bind at 10 PM at night when most (if not all) tire shops are closed! It ain't pretty and don't expect a gleaming shop with a pristine waiting area with snacks, WiFi, coffee and a water cooler.....but they get you in and out with your tire needs. And, most of all...taken care of at a price far less than the big-box chain tire shops in the entire DMV! I am happy to pay for the convenience & all of the above. Not to mention... did I say they are open seven days a week—24/7 already!?? I highly recommend this small, minority own business!!! Just have a little patience when coming here. You will be glad you did.

I visited Mac's Tire Service to have 4 new tires and a spare mounted and balanced. The technicians were very skilled, careful, and diligent. Additionally, the office staff were very polite and facilitated a great experience. Real professionalism was on display from all involved which is not easy to come by. 5/5 rating. I will come back in the future to purchase tires and/or receive a tire related service.
