My van and I arrived by tow truck before midnight, so they weren't overly busy! I was impressed with how quickly they replaced my tire while my daughter and I sat in their waiting room. It was an additional nice surprise that veterans get a 10% discount. I didn't know that such a 24-hr business operated, but I am so very glad Mac's exists, and that they provide such great service.

I've been coming here for years....back in the day before the gentrification.....the fancy neighborhood names of NOMA, SoFLo, Union Market, etc...when it was just known as "OLD CITY" and straight-up "HOOD!" Mac's Tire Service is beyond exceptional and a unique small business that is still standing in the midst of so much change in this neighborhood. These folks are service oriented and get the job done fast.... with little to no waiting time or hassle. The most wait that you would probably experience is more than likely due to the line of cars waiting to be serviced. But once you're inside, you're taken care of in no time at all. If one is looking for quick, efficient and competent service for all your tire needs....tire plugs, wheel/rim issues, in need of new or replacement tires.....this is the place to go! They have new and used tires to bail you out when in need of damage to your tire from these rough DC streets, curves and land mines of potholes everywhere in the city! I came here after getting a screw in my fairly new tire that I just brought from Costco. After receiving a low pressure signal from my car, I had a matter of minutes before my new tire was about to be damaged from riding on a flat. Thanks to Max tire being open 24/7, I was able to get my tire repaired and saved me a huge amount of dollars by not ruining my tire or having the need to buy a new one. Let's face it folks, tires are not cheap for sports cars or any car for that matter in today's economy. One tire could be some folks car note.... If you catch my drift….at least mine are. lol. Nevertheless, these folks saved me and got me out of a serious bind at 10 PM at night when most (if not all) tire shops are closed! It ain't pretty and don't expect a gleaming shop with a pristine waiting area with snacks, WiFi, coffee and a water cooler.....but they get you in and out with your tire needs. And, most of all...taken care of at a price far less than the big-box chain tire shops in the entire DMV! I am happy to pay for the convenience & all of the above. Not to mention... did I say they are open seven days a week—24/7 already!?? I highly recommend this small, minority own business!!! Just have a little patience when coming here. You will be glad you did.

I visited Mac's Tire Service to have 4 new tires and a spare mounted and balanced. The technicians were very skilled, careful, and diligent. Additionally, the office staff were very polite and facilitated a great experience. Real professionalism was on display from all involved which is not easy to come by. 5/5 rating. I will come back in the future to purchase tires and/or receive a tire related service.

So glad I found Mac’s Tire Service! I came in on a Sunday night around 10:30pm and was impressed that they’re open 24/7—such a lifesaver. The staff was incredibly respectful, kind, and patient. Doug, the technician who helped me, was especially kind and helpful—he answered all my questions and explained everything clearly in a way that was easy to understand. Very trustworthy, upfront, and reliable. Thank you again, Doug! I’d definitely recommend Mac’s to anyone dealing with tire issues!
