Kumho Tires
Kumho Tires is a South Korean tire manufacturing brand that is currently a subsidiary company to Doublestar since the company acquired Kumho in a 2018 deal. Kumho was originally founded in 1960 as part of the Kumho Asiana Group. The headquarters for Kumho are located in South Korea where the brand also owns three manufacturing plants. It has further manufacturing plants located in China, Vietnam and the United States. However, it exports tires around the world. Today, Kumho Tires are used as original equipment on several well-known brands of cars, including some Fords, Hyundais, Kias and Mitsubishis. Ecsta, Majesty, Solus and Crugen Premium tire types are those most frequently used on new vehicles. These are also know as high-quality replacement tires that can be used on passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs and commercial trucks. Kumho Tires also has a rich history of supporting sporting teams as well as motorsports around the world. For example, it is a primary sponsor and platinum partner of the Manchester United Football Club. Kumho also sponsors NBA basketball in the United States, the Australian PGA and Sweden’s V75 horse racing series. In addition, the brand sponsors La Liga and European Formula 3 racing.
